VIA| Throughout the last twenty or so years, once Thanksgiving ends, and December begins to approach on the calendar, people begin playing Adam Sandler’s ode to being Jewish.
Starting in an appearance on “Saturday Night Live” in the early 1990s, Sandler has performed his “Hanukkah Song,” every few years, with updates coming along the way.
During a rare concert in San Diego, Sandler unveiled the fourth version of the song, this time with lyrics updated for 2015, much to his fans’ delight.
In the fourth installment of the classic song, Sandler dropped in references to twenty-first century topics such as former SUBWAY spokesman Jared Fogle being a pedophile.
“Jared from Subway: Goddamn it, a Jew,” Sandler sang.
“But guess who’s Jewish and can fix him? Loveline’s Dr. Drew (get on it, doc).”
Sandler seemed in high spirits while singing the song, and even got the audience to sing along in parts, proving that despite some questionable movie choices in recent years audience still love him.
