VIA| Last year, Barack Obama demanded America’s military forces be downsized to their lowest levels in generations. The Obama administration and some in Congress plan to use this year’s National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) to further diminish the capability of our military to protect our country. In a world with multiple threats, now is NOT the time further weaken America’s defenses.
I support a National Defense Authorization Act that achieves the following objectives:
Build a military ready to deploy and capable of defending America.
Reduce the growth of the Department of Defense bureaucracy.
Transform warfighting strategies so that do not create unnecessary risk for our men and women in combat zones.
Reform the military acquisition process so warfighters receive modern weapon systems on time and under budget.
Compensate our men and women in the military at a pay rate above poverty level.
I pray each and every one of you agree with me on this. Please click here to sign our petition demanding Congress and the president “Provide for the Common Defense Now!”
