According to recent reports, a Georgia man who wrote that he was ‘ready for jihad’ and bought a one-way ticket overseas in an attempt to join the Islamic State group was just sentenced to time in prison.

During the trial, Leon Nathan Davis II (also known as Abdul Wakil Khalil) sobbed to the judge, claiming that he was “an American.”

AMERICANS DON’T JOIN ISIS!

Davis was sentenced to 15 years after pleading guilty to seeking to help a known terrorist organization. He will be serving the maximum punishment for his crimes.

Davis was arrested at the Atlanta airport last October as he was trying to board a flight to Turkey. His plan at the time was to be smuggled into Syria so that he could join ISIS as a recruiter and an English Teacher.

U.S. District Court Judge J. Randal Hall felt little sympathy for Davis, who once posted online: “One of my greatest desires is to kill Zionists and bring down Israel and the United States of America.” Davis also owned six rifles, four handguns and two shotguns at the time of his arrest.

WELL DONE JUDGE HALL!
