Barack Obama's legacy will include bringing illegals in, and driving citizens out

As President Barack Obama’s second term in office winds down, questions about his legacy are sure to arise from the mainstream media, and with historians who will try to put lipstick on a pig for our first black Commander-in-Chief.  And besides the fact that he will be the only Executive ever to not have the economy grow at least 3% in a single year in office, and will have been involved in more foreign conflicts than any President in modern times, there is another factor that will add to his legacy, and it involves driving more Americans out of their citizenship than anyone else in history.

Another 508 people renounced their US citizenship last quarter according to documents published this morning by the Internal Revenue Service.

This brings the total number of US ‘renunciants’ under the Obama administration to 17,359.

It’s a pretty sad state of affairs when a government’s tax policy is so oppressive that it drives people to permanently divorce themselves from their country.

In other words, if you are a US citizen, you are required to file tax returns and pay tax to the US government, regardless of where you live, even if you are an accidental American who has never even been to the United States.

But in the Land of the Free, the government demands payment from all Americans, no matter where in the world they happen to live. – Sovereign Man

Interestingly, President Obama has done the very opposite when it comes to allowing illegal aliens into the United States.  In fact, as of July 2015, the illegal population coming across the border has increased by 2.5 million since Obama took office back in 2008.

Higher taxes, loss of good paying jobs, devaluation of the currency, and forced socialist programs like Obamacare are just a few of the ways in which President Obama has lowered the standard of living for nearly all Americans, and is one of the main catalysts for the record number of people choosing to give up their citizenship and find freedom and prosperity elsewhere.  And when it comes time to write down Barack Obama’s legacy, the conclusions will inevitably be that he left the country in far worse shape than when he came into office eight years ago.
