ELDER PATRIOT- When President Obama was running for office he called for a national police force. Despite politically influenced websites efforts to explain away what he meant as an innocent statement that has been misunderstood or distorted for political purposes, what he said was undeniable. The exact wording was:
Over the intervening years, legislation like the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) has only served to heighten the fears of freedom loving observers. The NDAA and other legislation has come into direct conflict with the Constitutional protections afforded us by the Bill of Rights. The president now has broad powers to unlawfully spy on Americans, detain them indefinitely without presentation of charges, and even to kill. For anyone paying attention, this is errily reminiscent of the Nazi Germany.
Now comes the racial unrest in Ferguson and Baltimore. If not orchestrated by that old community organizer, Obama must be thanking his good fortune for their occurrence. Kritallnacht – The Night of Breaking Glass – rallied the German people behind Hitler. Are the riots in Ferguson and Baltimore intended to be Obama’s Kristallnacht? For Students of history this raises serious concerns.
On December 18, 2014 President Obama signed an Executive Order creating the 21st Century Task Force on Policing. The intent of this order is to national the nations police forces.
Three mayors were appointed to this task force. Baltimore mayor, Stephanie Rawlings-Blake is one of them. Her command to the police at the onset of the Baltimore riots to “give space to those who wished to destroy” would be troubling if she had no ties to Obama’s policing task force. That she does is alarming an cannot be dismissed.
Now comes Al Sharpton calling for the DOJ to “take over policing in the country.” With no comments forthcoming from the president one is left to wonder if Sharpton is serving as Obama’s mouthpiece. It does, after all, echo the president’s own words and orders.
For those of possessing a healthy dose of skepticism about the growth of government and the loss of individual liberties, these are very scary times.
