VIA| According to recent reports, one group of frustrated lawmen has decided to band together to take a stand against President Barack Obama’s administration for trying to “run them over.”
The “Sagebrush Sheriffs” or “constitutional sheriffs” have been using their local positions to fight detrimental environment regulation, run federal officials out of their respective counties and are not afraid to break the law if it means defending our true rights.
In 2009, Richard Mack published an article called “The County Sheriff: America’s Last Hope.” In that writing, he argued that sheriffs are the “last line of defense” and that their duty is to protect individual liberties in the face of an out-of-control federal government.
Mack is a former sheriff from Graham County, Arizona. In a recent interview with High Country News, he claims that sheriffs can successfully lead the fight to rescue America from “the cesspool of corruption.” By refusing to enforce federal and state laws that they deem unconstitutional, our citizens will be protected from injustice. Mack also believes that sheriffs “have the power to nullify federal authority.”
“There is no solution in Washington, D.C.,” Mack concluded. “If we’re going to take America back, it’s going to be at a local level.”
What do you think? Do you agree with Mack and the “Sagebush Sheriffs?”
