A free people ought to be armed.” – George Washington
ELDER PATRIOT – I will apologize for the extreme length of this writing but a defense of our gun rights cannot be properly achieved with a sound bite like the president’s case to the useful idiots for gun control can be.
“All political power comes from the barrel of a gun. The communist party must command all the guns, that way, no guns can even be used to command the party.” – Mao Tse Tung, Nov 6, 1938
“To conquer a nation, first disarm its citizens.” – Adolph Hitler, 1933
“If the opposition disarms, well and good. If it refuses to disarm, we shall disarm it ourselves.”
– Joseph Stalin, 1929
“I don’t believe people should to be able to own guns.”
– Barack Obama (during conversation with economist and author John Lott Jr. at the University of Chicago Law School in the 1990s)
Many of us feared it was just a matter of time before the United States first dictator, Barack Hussein Obama, made his move to confiscate the guns of patriotic Americans. Those fears were confirmed by the White House today. President Obama is readying a series of executive actions with the intention of rendering our Second Amendment protections impotent.
This should not come as a surprise to anyone. We have witnessed this president ignore our constitutional protections routinely over his almost 7 years in office signing legislation into law that has served to consolidate his power in violation of the Bill of Rights and at the expense of our lost freedoms.
Those of us who have been following the rise of this miscreant president’s political career are well aware of the influence that Bill Ayers has wielded over Barack Obama since his early days in the public arena. Ayers was once the head of the domestic terror group known as the Weather Underground that targeted police for death as a means to a political ends.
Larry Grathwohl was an FBI informant during the 1970 that infiltrated Ayers Weather Underground. In an interview a few years later this Q and A followed:
Pajamas Media: Scattered news accounts on the Internet note that you were instrumental in foiling Weather Underground attacks in February of 1970, in Detroit. The Weathermen built two bombs targeting the Detroit Police Officers’ Association (DPOA) building and the 13th Precinct. Were the goals of these attacks symbolic property damage as were some other Weathermen attacks, or were these targets selected to kill police officers?
Larry Grathwohl: The instructions I received from Billy Ayers was that the bombs to be used in Detroit must have shrapnel (fence staples, specifically) and fire potential (propane bottles). The intention was to kill police officers….
Pajamas Media: One of the Detroit bombs was to be placed on the side of the DPOA building, and the blast was likely to cause damage to the adjacent Red Barn Restaurant, which had mostly African-American customers. Who ordered the attack, and what did he say when you told him that innocent civilians would be killed?
Larry Grathwohl: When I objected to Billy Ayers that more innocent people would be killed in the restaurant, he replied, “Innocent people have to die in a revolution.” Billy also acknowledged during a criticism session in Buffalo that Bernadine placed the bomb at the Park Police Station which resulted in the death of Police Officer McDonnell.
Why is this significant? Ayers and his wife Bernadine Dohrn (responsible for the death of Officer McDonnell) hosted a gathering at their home in 1995 where Barack Obama was introduced as the “chosen” successor for Alice Palmer’s Illinois State Senate seat. Obama has subsequently denied having a close association with Ayers but the president’s radical agenda over the past seven years calls that denial into question. Especially, in light of these additional excerpts from the Grathwohl’s video documentary, No Place to Hide:
“…the Weathermen actually believed that they would be successful in overthrowing the U.S. government and that, with the help of the Cubans, Chinese, Russians, and North Vietnamese, they would occupy America. Americans would have to be “re-educated” in camps, similar to what the communists did in Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and other countries they had taken over. Here is one of the chilling revelations Larry Grathwohl made in the film:
I asked, “Well what is going to happen to those people we can’t reeducate, that are diehard capitalists?” And the reply was that they’d have to be eliminated.
And when I pursued this further, they estimated they would have to eliminate 25 million people in these reeducation centers. And when I say “eliminate,” I mean “kill.”
Twenty-five million people.
I want you to imagine sitting in a room with 25 people, most of which have graduate degrees, from Columbia and other well-known educational centers, and hear them figuring out the logistics for the elimination of 25 million people and they were dead serious.”
In a subsequent interview Grathwohl named names; Bill Ayers, Bernadine Dohrn, Mark Rudd, Linda Evens, Jeff Jones among many others.
President Obama’s association with radical elements sympathetic to communism is extensive, from Franklin Marshall Davis who served much like a father to the young Barack on to his adult associations with the likes of Ayers and Dohrn, and should be of major concern to all freedom loving Americans.
Now comes the gun grab. One more evidence that Obama is following the path of the dictators who came before him.
What of his claim that we’ll all be safer without guns?
Hitler murdered 13 million “undesirables” who were unable to defend themselves.
Stalin murdered 20 million “dissidents” who were unable to defend themselves. By 1987 that figure had risen to almost 62 million.
Mao murdered 10 million “dissidents” who were unable to defend themselves. By 1987 that number had risen to 45 over million.
Pol Pot murdered over 31 percent of the Cambodian population for being too enlightened and who were unable to defend themselves from his thugs. Over 2 million dead.
Over 120 million people who refused “re-education” were eliminated lest they undermine the leftist Marxist movement. What are the current “costs” in life due to mass shootings in our country at this time?
Accurate statistics on mass shooting deaths in the U.S. are difficult to come by but even websites that appear to be driven by a gun control agenda indicate less than one death per day on average. It would take almost 330,000 years to equal the carnage of the gun control totalitarians cited above. To those of us with a sense of history we know freedom comes with a price. This may be the price.
Today in the United States our conversation and debate is being limited by “political correctness,” not dissimilar to the rules of discussion enforced by Mao, Hitler and Stalin. Punishment is worse for crimes where an offensive thought may have been uttered. How far of a reach is it to envision a time where crime and thought are separated and the thought, itself, is considered a crime? Free men should never fear open discussion nor should they ever be barred from it.
Thomas Jefferson wrote: “No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.”
And, finally this warning from Patrick Henry: “Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect everyone who approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force. Whenever you give up that force, you are ruined…The great object is that every man be armed. Everyone who is able might have a gun.”
The Framers envisioned the Second Amendment as the final check on government after the Supreme Court has failed the people, after the Congress has failed the people and after the President has failed the people. The aggression of this President, the acquiescence of this Congress and the ignorance of the Constitution by this Supreme Court may make this the moment the Framers feared when they gave us the Second Amendment. It is time for us to stand and defend it, no matter the cost. Mr. President, come and get it!
