VIA| Conservative hero Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) just spoke in front of the House Judiciary Subcommittee about President Barack Obama’s dangerous plan to allow 10,000-15,000 Syrian Islamic refugees into the country during the next year.
Gowdy (below) makes the important point that this is a major threat to national security, as there’s no way to tell just which of the refugees have direct ties to terrorist cells and the Islamic State (ISIS). He said leading experts and intelligence officials are convinced that not only is this is a possibility, but it’s already happened!
Then Gowdy SLAMMED Obama for calling opponents of the dangerous plan racist.
The president says we’re scared of widows and orphans. With all due respect to him, what I’m really afraid of is a foreign policy that creates more widows and orphans, so where maybe he ought to start … is a foreign policy in the Middle East, including Syria, where people can go back to their homelands, which is their preference, go back to their homelands.
Gowdy reminded us that President Obama’s job as Commander in Chief is to destroy ISIS, and make sure they cannot cause harm:
Maybe (Obama) ought to defeat that JV team that you thought you had contained. That would be the very best thing you could do to help people who aspire to a better life.
