ELDER PATRIOT – Lavoy Finicum was murdered by an Oregon State Trooper acting as an agent for an out of control federal government yesterday.
Mr. Finicum maintained a blog entitled “One Cowboy’s Stand for Freedom” that made the Constitutional argument that the federal government was illegally possessing land it had no right to take. In a show of defiance and in unity with other ranchers Mr. Finicum occupied a vacant federal building located in the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge.
There was no property damage and no one was injured…except for Lavoy Finicum.
Greg Bretzing, the FBI Special Agent in Charge said, “Let me be clear: It is fully and unequivocally the behavior and the choices made by the armed occupiers that have led us to where we are today. And, as the FBI and our partners have demonstrated, actions are not without consequences.”
What a load of bilge water. There was no looting, no property damage, and no physical attacks against anyone unlike the civil unrest in Baltimore and Ferguson where a stand down order had been issued by a government that has become known for issuing stand down orders when it comes to enemies of the people both foreign and domestic.
The rules of engagement applied by the Oregon State Trooper and sanctioned by the FBI against an American citizen who posed no direct threat would be unacceptable for our troops in the Middle East and would result in a court martial.
Lavoy Finicum was only part of a group trying to bring attention to the impossible situation the federal government has put our American ranchers in.
Arianna Finicum Brown one of Mr. Finicum’s eleven children released this statement, “My dad was such a good, good man, through and through. He would never ever want to hurt somebody, but he does believe in defending freedom and he knew the risks involved.”
The plight of American ranchers at the hands of the federal Bureau of Land Management has not been well documented but BLM restrictions have made it nearly impossible for America’s smaller ranchers to survive, another example of crony capitalism disguised as environmental protection and unconstitutionally obtained federal property rights being used to eliminate competition for the major cattle producers. Next time you’re at the butcher you won’t have to wonder why prices have escalated so severely. This was Lavoy Finicum’s cause.
Lavoy Finicum’s murder was not accidental. Like every other ruling and decision by our now upside-down government they were letting us know that we the people are now their enemy and they will not think twice about eliminating us in their move to eviscerate our traditions and our Constitution.
