VIA| As country duo Joey+Rory continue to march on through Joey’s cancer journey, the legends of country music feel that they are marching right along side of them.
Country legends such as Dolly Parton and Reba McEntire and Charlie Daniels recently got together to tape an emotional tribute to the inspirational pair.
“I’m sorry you are not feeling good,” Parton begins the tribute. “I’ve loved you for years. I know you have often done my songs and I have heard you are a big fan. But we have something in common. We both believe in a higher power and we believe that through God, all things are possible. Keep praying and I will keep praying for you.”
“If you are lucky in life, you get to meet your heroes, and I feel like one of the heroes I have met is Joey Feek,” added the legendary Brenda Lee. “I have been calling and leaving messages and talked with her on the phone. I have been praying for her non-stop. I am so happy to have seen the love story unfold between Joey and Rory and who they are and what they stand for. I send my love and my prayers. God is waiting on you to sing for him.”
