Hillary Clinton – Ruthless, Psychotic or Both

ELDER PATRIOT – Hillary Clinton has decided to take an aggressive approach towards her political opponents in an attempt to buttress her flagging poll numbers.  This is clearly an attempt to redirect all of the well-deserved criticism that’s only just started to come her way.

During questioning by Savannah Guthrie she was asked if she would investigate a Republican for using a personal email server as she had done.  Her answer was unequivocal:

“I would never have done that.  Look at the situation they chose to exploit to go after me for political reasons, the death of four Americans in Benghazi. I knew [Ambassador Christopher Stevens]. I identified him. I asked him to go there. I asked the president to nominate him.”

That all may be true but Mrs. Clinton conveniently omitted a number of salient facts that if confirmed by Trey Gowdy’s House Select Committee on Benghazi would end her presidential aspirations and very well might conclude with her behind bars.  Mrs. Clinton knows that it’s the opposition party’s obligation to investigate potential wrongdoing by members of the other party but is trying to convince her followers that she’s the victim of partisan politics.

When she was a young lawyer working for the committee investigating President Richard Nixon that attitude served her well.  However, instead of being humbled for having played an important role in bringing a rogue president to justice, Mrs. Clinton’s takeaway was quite different.  Her resolve became to always have “plausible deniability” for her immoral, or even illegal behavior.

Mrs. Clinton has spent her entire public life riding roughshod over everyone who’s gotten in her way so the attack dog strategy she’s settled on should come naturally for her.

From the moment she stepped foot in the White House as First Lady her ruthless approach became evident.  She wanted the White House travel office to be run by Bill’s 25-year-old cousin Catherine Cornelius but longtime Director Billy Dale was standing in the way.  Dale had served multiple presidents on both sides of the aisle, faithfully.

It wasn’t in Hillary’s DNA to simply release Dale, she felt the need to justify his release so she trumped up accusations of illegal kickbacks against him and brought the full force of the federal government to bear against him.  After a lengthy legal process Dale was exonerated.

The New York Times recapped the episode:

“Billy Dale and his family went through hell thanks to the Clintons, Attorney General Janet Reno, the FBI and the IRS,” Irvine wrote. “Hillary’s greatest crime was not perjury, it was trying to send an innocent man to prison to justify having fired him and his staff without cause.”

“Trying to send an innocent man to prison to justify” her actions.  This has been the modus operandi of Hillary Clinton who claims to be the “people’s champion,” and it was employed by her again during the entire Benghazi affair where she didn’t lift a finger to save the lives of four Americans in need of assistance and then blamed the incident on an innocent film maker who languishes in prison to this day.

The truth will come out soon.  Trey Gowdy will be certain his committee is meticulous and above board in their investigation.  That’s who he is.  The question that will always remain is Hillary simply employing the strategy thinks best to save her campaign or is she truly delusional that there is a vast right-wing conspiracy out to get her?
