Joey Feek Told Rory “You’ll Be Okay When I’m Gone”, The Reason Why? HEARTBREAKING

VIA| A music video has never made me cry so hard until I watched Joey and Rory Feek’s “When I’m Gone.” It was such an emotional work of art that I had to force myself to finish watching it through the tears.

Country duo Joey and Rory have been making headlines after sharing the heartbreaking news that Joey chose to no longer receive treatments to fight cervical cancer.

Although the admirable husband and wife duo didn’t reveal Joey’s diagnosis until June 2014, they released the “When I’m Gone” music video in July 2012.

The emotional lyrics and music video will bring even the coldest of hearts to tears.

“A bright sunrise will contradict the heavy fault that weighs you down
In spite of all the funeral songs
The birds will make their joyful sounds
You wonder why the earth still moves
You wonder how you’ll carry on
But you’ll be okay on that first day when I’m gone”
– Joey and Rory, When I’m Gone

I pray that this song helps Rory heal when the Lord calls Joey home. Their strength and faith is so inspiring. Please keep the Feeks in your prayers.
