PAT BATEMAN- To be honest, between her dress created out of meat and her performance in American Horror Story, Lady Gaga is definitely not on my list of favorite people.

Putting aside, her eccentricities and obvious irreverence for traditional values, I was not expecting her to expose something this big.

Only a few days after her performance of ‘The Star Spangled Banner’ at Super Bowl 50, Lady Gaga decided to exposed to us a side of herself rarely seen before: her Patriotism.

Truth is, her singing on our anthem was one of the most beautiful performances of our National Anthem I have witnessed in a long time.

However, it was not her only performance that really touched me, rather what she shockingly revealed about the song she sang.

“I just thought about the lyrics and what they really mean,” said Gaga. They’ve been around a long time, so I thought about what they mean now, I just sang from my heart.”

“No matter what you go through, the same as our country, that metaphor of ‘but the flag was still there’ is so powerful for me every time,” said Gaga. “I’m really singing it from the heart and I’m also singing it very true to the way it was written because that’s when I think it sounds its most majestic. There’s no greater honor than standing next to the Color Guard, the Flag, the Army and the Military and singing the National Anthem.”

Thank you Lady Gaga for reminding everyone how special our beautiful America really is … I definitely do not agree with you on many things, but I DO agree with you on this, AMERICA IS AWESOME!
