ELDER PATRIOT – World Net Daily says that Paul Ryan has vowed to find common ground with President Obama. Ugh. Many of us warned that Ryan was a John Boehner clone.
We have watched the pillars of our democratic republic being destroyed by the initiatives of the president with the help of a compliant congress for seven years. Our government is funding terrorism at home (Black Lives Matter, Organizing for Action, My Brother’s Keeper, etc.) and overseas ($150 billion to Iran) while we plunge our children deeper in debt.
Now Paul Ryan promises more of the same.
The AP reports that Michigan Governor Rick Snyder has decided the state will be postponing efforts to accept refugees until federal officials fully review security clearances and procedures.
Let’s get real, there isn’t any conceivable way to check the backgrounds of these people whose governments don’t keep records and who have no intention of cooperating with us in any event.
If Snyder doesn’t make this decision permanent he can be counted among those politicians who use terrorist attacks to grandstand but do little to protect the people.
If this man looks like a deer in the headlights it’s because he is. He bet on ISIS to be our partner and now, according to Yahoo News they are threatening to bring their terror to his doorstep in Washington, D.C.
“We say to the states that take part in the crusader campaign that, by God, you will have a day, God willing, like France’s and by God, as we struck France in the center of its abode in Paris, then we swear that we will strike America at its center in Washington,” Yahoo reports the man sayings.
Rasmussen Reports’ recent poll shows that only 15% of military personnel have a favorable opinion of Hillary Clinton. That should surprise no one since she has demonstrated an even more unfavorable opinion of them during her service as First Lady and later as Secretary of State.
Time just can’t stop itself. After reporting that Rand Paul called out Marco Rubio for having blocked an amendment to the Gang of Eight’s immigration bill that would have required far greater scrutiny of refugees, immigrants and students entering our country they couldn’t resist claiming that Rubio was surging. In May Rubio had a rolling average of 13.2 in polling. Today he’s at 10% according to the latest Ipsos/Reuters poll released last week. Compare that to Donald Trump who picked up 7 points in the week leading up to the poll and now has more than triple the support that Rubio has.
During the debates the American people can make the comparison for themselves. One is a man who exudes success and power. The other is a boy who only knows feeding from the public trough.
Andrea Peyser writing in the New York Post hit the nail squarely on the head today in comparing French President Francois Hollande to our president:
“On Friday morning, just hours before Paris turned into ground zero, Obama declared on ABC’s ‘Good Morning America’ that ISIS (ISIL, whatever) was not gaining ground and that the US military ‘has contained’ it. The statement should become his epitaph.”
Now here’s Peyser’s description of Hollande’s reaction:
“No sooner had ISIS claimed responsibility for the butchery than Hollande got in front of TV cameras and told the traumatized public that the savagery was an “act of war.’’ He vowed to pound ISIS into submission.”
“It’s beyond surreal that the president of France is making the American president look like a cheese-eating amateur.”
