VIA| There is something magical happening here.
We can feel it.
But no, it’s not magic in the way a magician makes something happen with a deck of cards or a bunny in a hat. Rather, there is something about the way Joey Feek continues to battle against a cancer diagnosis that had her doctors saying she wouldn’t live past Thanksgiving. There is something about how she keeps smiling with all of the odds against her. There is something about how every day she remains on this earth is another day in which she inspires the rest of us to live our life more fully and with more faith than we ever thought we could muster.
Call it magic. Call it crazy. Call it amazing.
“We have faith,” Rory wrote in his Jan. 28 blog post. “And so Joey and I do our best to only see the plus’s in our life, like all the extra days and weeks that we’ve been given together (the doctors here didn’t expect Joey to make it to Thanksgiving, and here we are near the end of January), and all the beautiful conversations and time we’ve had with her family. And the amazing gift of life-slowing-down-to-a-crawl and only having and needing THIS moment in time. And of course, the incredible amount of love and support that the whole world has shown for us during this special time.”
