ELDER PATRIOT – At the risk of sounding homophobic, presidential wannabe Lindsey Graham is the epitome of the limp-wristed Republican who is attempting to bury whatever is left of the Conservative movement in his own squirrely way. I always thought him a bit…oh…let’s just say blithesome. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
He certainly demonstrated some serious testosterone during the Clinton impeachment hearings. Unfortunately since then, he’s evolved into political milquetoast.
Now he’s hitting the liberal talk shows bemoaning Trump’s brashness when discussing the problems illegal immigrants are causing in our country. Trump’s manly approach to identifying problems and offering solutions is something poor Lindsey just can’t come to terms with.
Instead he resorts to crying that Trump’s candidacy is hurting the Republican Party. Here’s a question for Lindsey, how can any one person’s opinion damage your party? Are you incapable of refuting him in open debate?
So, you appear on CNN where you complain that, “I think he’s uninformed about the situation regarding the illegal immigrant population…”I think he has hijacked the debate. I think he is a wrecking ball for the future of the Republican Party with the Hispanic community and we need to push back.”
Hey Lindsey, you’ve had 12 years in the Senate to make your case for illegals being here. You haven’t done diddly. No cogent reasoning for keeping the borders open. No legislative initiative to address problems relating to their presence here. No nothing.
Graham went on to cry that Trump’s ascendancy could potentially discredit the whole party. Seriously Lindsey, you and the rest of your “give Obama anything he wants” brothers and sisters in the Republican Party have taken care of that.
Graham, not realizing what a putz he sounded like continued trashing The Donald. “This is a defining moment in the future of the Republican party,” Graham said. “We can’t worry about what Donald Trump might do. We have to focus on what we should do. And as a party, we should reject what he says because it’s not true. And if we don’t reject it we’ve lost the moral authority, in my view, to govern this country.”
That’s laughable. Graham, Boehner, McConnell, Ryan and the rest of the Republican leadership had decades to address our immigration problems, especially when they controlled both houses and George Bush was president. They did nothing. No Lindsey, your party lost any moral authority they imagined they had with their party’s supporters, when you repeatedly voted to raise the debt limit funding Obama’s agenda in its entirety.
Hey Lindsey it’s time to STFU and let someone with testicles take over.
