ELDER PATRIOT – Last night’s Democratic debate offered the best the party had to offer, an ancient fossil espousing socialism, an economic policy that was debunked sometime during his coherent years, and a woman who has challenged the standards of corruption from the time she entered public life.
Bernie Sanders support erodes precipitously among those with the perspective of the world’s economic history over the past one hundred years. Mr. Sanders’ support comes from minds of mush molded by a system of indoctrination that passes for education in today’s growingly intellectually fascist world.
As I watch his youthful supporters clamoring for their own demise I am brought back to the words of Will Hunting when he schooled a Harvard “intellectual” of that time:
“See the sad thing about a guy like you, is in about 50 years you’re gonna start doin’ some thinkin’ on your own and you’re gonna come up with the fact that there are two certainties in life. One, don’t do that. And two, you dropped a hundred and fifty grand on a fuckin’ education you coulda’ got for a dollar fifty in late charges at the Public Library.”
This still leaves 50% of the Democrat rank and file lining up behind what may well be the most corrupt politician in American history.
Mrs. Clinton is fond of retelling how she and her husband left the White House in January of 2001 “not only dead broke but in debt.” Together with her husband, the Clintons are now worth an estimated $111 million dollars that means they’ve accumulated in excess of $20,000 per day over the past 15 years beyond their lavish living expenses.
They also maintain control over a $2 billion foundation that carries their family name and serves as their personal slush fund.
The Clintons have gone from the poorest presidential family to the richest in a span of only 15 years and it was all accomplished through political influence, bribery, extortion, murder, sedition and treason in the most unpatriotic ways conceivable.
We are living in the information age and the value of information has not been lost on the Clintons. The highly sensitive information that the Clintons had access to provided them with the opportunity to amass a fortune from the sale of it and from every form of political influence possible. Their efficacy at monetizing the trust that Americans had vested in them would make even the most successful crime boss envious. And, similar to every other crime boss, if you got in their way they would crush you personally and professionally.
So while Sanders supporters have young minds of mush, victims of indoctrination and lacking life’s experience, Clinton supporters possess old minds of mush so steadfastly clinging to their desire to believe that government can be the answer to their personal failures that they are willing to ignore her sordid past.
This is what populism looks like to rank and file Democrats in 2016.
