VIA| Rev. Franklin Graham is going toe-to-toe with President Barack Obama, and once again his message will not be welcome in the Oval Office.
In a viral Facebook post on Friday, the reverend issued a direct and clear message to the president and the rest of America following the San Bernardino shooting.
In it, he stated that the shooting was an act of jihad and not an incident to be blamed on a lack of gun control regulations as Obama had implied.
“The headlines say Farook and his wife were a couple ‘bent on jihad,’” Graham wrote. “President Obama and his administration are trying to blame this incident on gun control when it was caused by hate-filled hearts intent on killing infidels in the name of Islam.”
Graham furthered emphasized the fact that the oft-touted Obama mantra in which any type of shooting is blamed on gun control issues is entirely wrong because Syed Rizwan Farook and Tashfeen Malik were terrorists with bomb-making materials in their possession.
“Take away the guns and this couple would’ve still slaughtered innocent civilians,” Graham continued. “Their apartment was a bomb-making factory!”
He concluded his post by imploring Obama to reconsider his immigration plan for anyone associated with radical Islam.
“Mr. President, we don’t need more gun control — we need border patrol. No Muslims should be allowed into this country until there’s a process in place to fully vet them, ” he wrote. “We’ve got to turn away those who could potentially pose a threat until this war with radical Islam is over.”
Along with his post, Graham linked to the Fox News article wherein the news broke that the FBI admitted it had launched a federal terrorism investigation into the shooting.
The Friday news conference in which Attorney General Loretta Lynch made the announcement was in contrast to Obama’s stance that an office dispute led to an incident of workplace violence in San Bernardino, and not yet another incident of radical Islamic terrorism.
Graham published the post on Friday morning and by early Saturday afternoon it had already garnered over 132,000 likes and over 78,000 shares on Facebook.
Rev. Graham could not be more correct in calling out the president on this issue. Once again, Obama was quick to focus this issue on one of his pet projects — infringing upon the Second Amendment — to push his agenda, when in reality the shooters were terrorists.
Blaming this recent shooting on a lack gun control and not on terrorism is a disservice to the victims and their families. It serves no other purpose than to incite panic in the hearts of Americans as evidence of the Islamic State group’s violent agenda ricochets around the world.
