We have already seen the data that shows this coming September being a severe time of turmoil and potential disaster in the economic and prophetic arenas, but a coming event scheduled for the fall may well escalate the world into something far greater. The United Nations (UN) has set on its calendar a vote by the Security Council to decide once and for all on the formation of a Palestinian State, which may or may not include parts of Jerusalem. This mandate of course is not only highly contested by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, but the leader of Israel appears unlikely to allow a Yes vote to go uncontested, and backed by the threat of war.
The event scheduled for September that has been nearly totally overlooked is the fact that the UN Security Council is likely to be voting on a UN resolution which will establish a Palestinian state at that time. Right now, France is working on a proposed resolution which would give formal UN Security Council recognition to the Palestinians, would declare that a divided Jerusalem is the capital of both Israel and a Palestinian state, and would set the 1967 borders as the baseline for future negotiations which would establish the final borders between the two nations.
It is being reported that France will submit this resolution for a vote after the 70th session of the UN General Assembly begins on the 15th of September. At this moment, 136 nations have already recognized a Palestinian state, but the United States has always blocked recognition by the UN Security Council. This time may be different though, because there are quite a few indications that Barack Obama actually plans to back the French resolution in September. If that happens, and the UN Security Council approves this resolution, it is going to have enormous implications for all of us.
France sees a window of opportunity after Israel’s elections to get the United States on board with a new push for Mideast peace, and is preparing a draft UN Security Council resolution in about 12 days, according to French diplomatic officials.
The draft would define the pre-1967 frontier as a reference point for border talks but allow room for exchanges of territory, designate Jerusalem as capital of both Israel and a Palestinian state and call for a fair solution for Palestinian refugees, one official told The Associated Press on Tuesday. – Economic Collapse Blog
The ironic thing about this vote coming from the UN is that Israel has little legal standing to oppose it since their own country was a construct of the global body back in 1947. And since Jerusalem and other territories in question were taken through conquest by Israel after their establishment, a global vote for a Palestinian State would mean they would have to become a rogue nation if they choose to use military means to fight the body’s decision.
It appears that Martin Armstrong’s War Cycle theory is very quickly coming to pass, as a war on the Middle East using Israel as the central focus could easily lead to World War III, or something just as devastating. And with the economic landscape looking bleak over the next six months, history shows that desperate nations always default to war to protect their power, and to create fictional enemies to take their people’s minds off their own domestic problems.
