VIA| Donald Trump has been hammering Hillary Clinton not only over her husband’s infidelity and sexual harassment, but also the former first lady’s role in covering it up.

After all, Trump has said, Clinton was behind threats and harassment directed at the women who accused Bill Clinton of sexual impropriety, in some cases including rape.

The mainstream media has typically accused Trump of lying, but they needn’t have looked far to find evidence of the veracity of the GOP front-runner’s claims.

A portion of one of Clinton’s most famous interviews ever — the one where she blamed her husband’s infidelity on “a vast right-wing conspiracy” — to find the 2016 Democrat frontrunner threatening the women accusing her husband of impropriety.

“Her defense is — she’s got a problem,” Trump said on “Fox & Friends” last weekend (via Breitbart). “She’s married to a person that’s a serious abuser and I mean, at the highest level, and she — you know, she’s not an innocent victim. She was the one that would go along with him in this whole game that they play.

“And you look at what happened with some of the people that he took advantage of and then she gets involved,” Trump continued. “So she’s not like the innocent person sitting by the side with tears in her eyes. She was very much involved.”

If the mainstream media had wanted evidence, it was easy enough to find. In the infamous Today Show interview from 1998, shortly after the Monica Lewinsky scandal broke, Clinton famously threatened those accusing her husband of improprieties that we now know he was mostly guilty of.

“I think we’re going to find some other things,” Clinton said. “And I think that when all of this is put into context, and we really look at the people involved here, look at their motivations and look at their backgrounds, look at their past behavior, some folks are going to have a lot to answer for.”

You can watch the entire “Today Show” video at C-SPAN (the applicable portion begins at 13:00).

“This is — the great story here for anybody willing to find it and write about it and explain it is this vast right-wing conspiracy that has been conspiring against my husband since the day he announced for president,” Clinton said.

“A few journalists have kind of caught on to it and explained it. But it has not yet been fully revealed to the American public. And actually, you know, in a bizarre sort of way, this may do it.”

Of course, when Hillary Clinton was confronted about her husband’s behavior at a town hall, she called the rape victim who asked the question “rude.” The media barely called her on it. However, Trump pointed out the truth and he was immediately assailed.

Talk about double standards.
