VIA| Meet the beautiful little Grace. With her big blue eyes and cheeky smile Grace is the picture of happiness and all she wants for Christmas is a new mum. She has been waiting to be adopted since birth after her mum suffered from severe pre-eclampsia during pregnancy and was unable to look after her newborn due to a brain injury. Grace was born premature at only twenty five weeks. Weighing a tiny 1.3lbs she was left with cerebral palsy and chronic lung disease.
Grace has been passed around different foster parents and now the authorities have taken the unusual decision to create an appeal to get her a full time home. Her current foster parents are nearing retirement and are desperate to find their little’ tom boy’ a new family.
Grace with foster Mum, Jill
“To meet Grace, you would never know she was unwell at all,” beams Jill. “She is so full of energy and is so happy. She takes everything in her stride.
“Considering doctors said she couldn’t walk, it’s unbelievable to see her like this now.
“She bops around everywhere. She is incredibly loving and playful.”
Grace has made absolutely amazing progress since birth, her health has gone from strength to strength. She has just started school and it is absolutely essential she finds a new home. Both her siblings have found homes and now she’s the only one left.
Jill says “She is a fighter. She defied doctors – no-one expected her to be here. But she is. And it is her determination to be here that means she is alive and happy today.”
