VIA| The tape measure, a handy flexible ruler used to help you measure all sorts of things: cupboards, desks, walls, doors, your penis… WHAT? I didn’t say that, or maybe I did. I don’t have a little member but if I did I’m pretty sure I’d need a pretty lengthy device to stretch the entirety of it *cough cough* actually it would probably be a tiny one *cough cough.* Right that’s enough about the size of my imaginary tallywhacker and back to the actual point of this article.
I can think of a couple of tools that are pretty essential for a DIY task, not that I do many myself. A tape measure would be one of them, along with one of those tool belts that Bob the Builder has, to ensure you look the part.
But did you know that there is so much more than meets the eye to our trusty household object? I’m talking about the tape measure by the way, not the trusty tool belt. Take a look at the video below to see what I mean:

…And that serrated edge is a scribing tool, who knew? Not me. I’ve got to add that I love how enthusiastic Leah is about the features of a tape measure. She also offers some pretty useful words of wisdom too: “You can do this.”
