VIA| Born into a family that didn’t want him, one poor kitten was left for dead in the freezing snow. Although he was covered in soft, fuzzy fur, he was no match for the freezing temperatures. Soon he was frozen stiff underneath a freshly fallen layer of snow.
While out playing in the snow, one man accidentally came across the frozen kitten. What him and his family did next will make you proud.
While playing with his children on the snowy December morning, Justin Bingham tripped over a hard object. When he stooped down to pick it up, he was horrified to see it was a stiff white kitten.
Justin immediately told his brother Brandon and the other kids about what he found. But then he realized that the kitten wasn’t dead. He was starting to warm up and show signs of life.
The family rushed the frozen kitten back home to thaw him out. Because Justin was trained in CPR, he administered the life-saving procedure when he noticed the kitten had trouble breathing.
Justin did CPR on the stiff kitten for over an hour.
Because he consistently forced warm air into the tiny kitten’s lungs, the animal survived.
After his close brush with death, the kitten has been adopted by his rescuers, the Bingham family.
And they named the tough kitten, Lazarus after the Bible character who was brought back to life after death.
Meet Lazarus the kitten in the video below.
