VIA| An 86-year-old WWII veteran sniper just proved that the best things in life really do get better with age. This video just made me even more proud to be an American!
It was 1944 when Ted Gundy fought World War II in Europe as an Army sniper. He even took part in the historically brutal, Battle of the Bulge – as Sir Winston Churchill said, “Undoubtedly the greatest American battle of the war and will, I believe, be regarded as an ever-famous American victory.”
Although Gundy’s gait might be questionable, with his trembling hands and a dependence on electronic-hearing enhancement, once you put him behind his M1903-A4 Springfield sniper rifle – you completely forget his age.
Gundy was awarded the “Black Hat”- one of the most prestigious awards of the marksmanship unit. When they gave him the opportunity to hit a target 1,000 yards away from him with modern day equipment, he left everyone SPEECHLESS.

Incredible! Thank you for your service Ted Gundy. His timeless sniper skills just blew my mind.
