War History Online reports today that a team of three Russian war historians, working in tandem with local preservation organizations, uncovered a treasure trove of artifacts during a recent excavation of a WWII battlefield.
Unfortunately, War History Online was unable to prove the authenticity of the find, and the name of the battlefield has yet to be released.
This may be a case where the discovery is “too good to be true,” but we’ll let you, the reader, decide for yourself until more news becomes available.
