This HIGH SCHOOL GIRL Was SENT HOME For 'DRESSING TOO SEXY'. THIS Is What She Wore … OVER THE LINE? YOU DECIDE?

VIA| In Kentucky, a teen girl was sent home from school because her outfit exposed her collarbone. The young woman proceeded to share the photo on social media which showed her wearing a tan undershirt with a white shirt on top. On the bottom? She’s in a normal pair of jeans.

But school officials found her conservative outfit too revealing because her collarbone was showing! And sadly, that’s against the dress code…

“Female students are not allowed to show their collar bone because it’s distracting the male students,” the caption alongside the photo shared on Reddit explained.

As soon as the image was uploaded, viewers criticized the school for being sexist.

Other users shared stories about how their schools had equally ridiculous dress code policies.

“They tried to ban girls from wearing anything that could reveal their bra strap for the same reason in my high school, so the girls just stopped wearing bras,” one Redditor wrote.

“Then they tried to make bras mandatory. Turns out a teacher asking a 16 year old if she’s wearing a bra or not could have some unfortunate legal ramifications.”

“Ha! We had an insane dress code in school. One was that you had to wear a belt with anything with belt loops- this included overalls. Way to get around this? Cut off all the belt loops!”

“I wore [a turtleneck] once and the school administration made me call home so my parents could bring me a new shirt because my SHOULDERS could be a distraction.”

Do you think schools are taking dress codes too seriously?
