VIA| With news of yet another school shooting, there is little debate that our country needs change, and needs it now.
The problem though is that too many Americans are boiling this down to “having conversations.” This sounds nice, and appeals to our emotions, but we’ll be the first to say that if you’re having a conversation about making changes, then you’re having the WRONG conversation! Talk is cheap, and unless there’s ACTION, nothing will ever get done. Avoiding action allows people to just blather about the dangers of guns, instead of looking at the mental health of individuals carrying out treacherous acts of violence.
Most of you reading this understand that banning guns will only leave them in the hands of bad guys, but unfortunately that is a concept that many people just don’t get.
This guy decided to do a little experiment to see if a gun, when left alone, is capable of killing someone.
Automobiles, alcohol, and prescription medication kill more people every year than guns, but I have yet to hear for a ban on any of those things.
We need to look at the mental health of those trying to purchase firearms, and not take away law-abiding citizens’ right to defend themselves.
