VIA| In the midst of all the hate and violence going on around the world, it’s nice to be able to share a story with you all that is actually heart-warming. Recently a young boy was visiting a Tim Hortons cafe in Ontario, Canada with his parents, who were horrified when suddenly their son mistook an older man with a snow-white beard for Santa Claus himself.
Facebook user Mark Hurson managed to capture a picture of the bearded man before he left the restaurant, telling the entire world about their adorable exchange. By the end you are guaranteed to be smiling from ear to ear!
According to Hurson’s Facebook post, the little boy slowly approached the man before standing before him and staring in awe. If the Tim Hortons had been a Starbucks in downtown Manhattan, chances are the man would have either ignored the boy or directly insulted him. But this is Canada we are talking about.
“The older gent looked down and smiled, and asked him if he sent his letter into him yet,” Hurson wrote. “The boy said no and he would be doing it tonight.”
Moments later, “Santa” was off with his coffee and a doughnut – but not before imparting some wise advice on the little boy.
“He said you better be nice to your mom and sister because I’m watching,” Hurson continued, “He then said goodbye and was going back to the North Pole to finish the toys with the elves.”
Since Hurson first posted about the exchange, his message has been shared over 18,000. Hopefully this touching story will inspire more people around the world to embrace these situations to teach our young people the important lessons of life.
