ELDER PATRIOT – Marco Rubio keeps insisting he’s a conservative while claiming the man he’s trailing badly for his party’s presidential nomination isn’t.
This video proves Mr. Rubio is soft on protecting the rights guaranteed by the Second Amendment:
There’s a reason that among the Republicans who know him best, the voters of Florida, he trails his opponent by 20 points. But his less than strident defense of our Constitutionally protected gun rights is only one of Mr. Rubio’s positions that is troubling to conservatives.
How conservative is his open-border, amnesty record that he now runs from rather than running on?
Likewise, his support of wealth draining alphabet soup trade agreement doesn’t ring true with conservative voters, anywhere.
There is one thing Mr. Rubio has cemented his neo-con credentials on, foreign adventurism. Endless wars costing American blood and treasure were not in the plans of our Founding Fathers, men who were true conservatives.
So, while Marco Rubio crisscrosses the country shouting that his opponent isn’t truly conservative his claims are falling on deaf ears because on the issues that matter most to the voters who are barely making it through each day, the people know Mr. Rubio cannot be trusted.
