After 9/11, the U.S. did its best not to allow that crisis to ‘go to waste’ and worked hard to sell a bill of goods to the American people that groups of rogue militants were dead set on destroying America, and that an ideological War on Terror must be fought to stop this new threat. But a little more than a decade later, the veil of propaganda has been lifted as those who had an ear to hear came to realize that not only was Al Qaeda a construct of the U.S. government, but according to a Pentagon report disseminated by a few former intelligence officers on June 8, ISIS as well was not only created in part by Washington, but allowed to grow as part of their foreign policy objectives.
In essence, not only is the War on Terror dead, but over time we have been discovered to be the global terrorists.
Two weeks ago, courtesy of the investigative work of Nafeez Ahmed whose deep dig through a recently declassified and formerly Pentagon documents released earlier by Judicial Watch FOIA, we learned that Western governments deliberately allied with al-Qaeda and other Islamist extremist groups to topple Syrian dictator Bashir al-Assad. In his words: “According to the newly declassified US document, the Pentagon foresaw the likely rise of the ‘Islamic State’ as a direct consequence of the strategy, but described this outcome as a strategic opportunity to “isolate the Syrian regime.”
Now, in a follow up piece to his stunning original investigative report titled “Secret Pentagon report reveals West saw ISIS as strategic asset Anti-ISIS coalition knowingly sponsored violent extremists to ‘isolate’ Assad, rollback ‘Shia expansion“, Nafeez Ahmed reveals that according to leading American and British intelligence experts, the previously declassified Pentagon report confirms that the West accelerated support to extremist rebels in Syria, despite knowing full well the strategy would pave the way for the emergence of the ‘Islamic State’ (ISIS). – Zerohedge
Many Americans have believed for awhile that the U.S. government has been either complicit, or physically involved in supporting terrorist activity. And like the revelations that there were no WMD’s in Iraq after the Bush Administration took us to war for more than a decade over a lie, so too has the creation of the surveillance state and militarized law enforcement been the ultimate objectives of instigating a fake war on an ideology.
Since the end of World War II America has fought wars using two different armies and two different forms of foreign policy. On the surface is the Department of Defense, which is at least publicly answerable to the world and the American people for actions they undertake through the Executive Branch and from votes out of Congress. But what is rarely seen are the objectives and actions of the second military, which not only uses NGO mercenaries and hired thugs to topple governments and assassinate citizens and foreign leaders alike, but in some cases, like with ISIS and Al Qaeda, work in opposition to the public policies of the DoD.
This of course is what is happening with ISIS right now. We are sending military support to attack ISIS while at the same time the intelligence agencies are directing ISIS to fight against the DoD.
Anytime a government declares a war on an ideology, the true mission is the subjugation of their own people using lies and propaganda to point at a bogeyman enemy, rather than the real target. And with this revelation that the Pentagon not only knew of ISIS, but was complicit in their formation and goals, there is no shred of credibility left with Washington, nor with the missions tied to the fake War on Terror.
