WATCH: 11-YEAR-OLD Held A Flag & SALUTE FOR 90 MINUTES, But WHO JOINS At 5:02? I’m In TEARS!

VIA| In June 2014, an 11-year-old boy visited Normandy, France to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the D-Day invasion during World War II.

The boy was on his own personal mission titled “Project Vigil” in which he spent four days educating visitors about 3 special paratroopers who fought in the war and were buried in the American Cemetery.

Since police wouldn’t allow the boy to enter the cemetery in his WWII uniform, he took the American flag down to Omaha Beach, planted it in the sand, and held a silent salute for 90 minutes.

The boy stood on the beach and looked out at the ocean in remembrance and celebration of all the Americans who died during World War II fighting for freedom.

Despite the strong winds, the boy, standing alone, planted the flag and held his salute for an hour and a half.

During his vigil, tourists, veterans, and interested beach goers stood and watched the boy hold his patriotic salute to the heroes of the past. Many went up to the boy to make sure what they saw, an 11-year-old boy holding salute and the American flag, was actually a reality.

Spend a few patriotic moments today watching the little boy stand on the French beach as he salutes the American soldiers who fought in the Second World War

At the 5-minute mark, you’ll witness a man joining the boy in his silent watch. What he does is the perfect complement to the boy’s personal mission.

What do you think of this boy’s dedication to our troops and veterans?
