WATCH The Day KENNY CHESNEY Found Himself UNABLE TO SING THROUGH THE TEARS

VIA| Through the years, country music powerhouse Kenny Chesney has delighted millions of fans, sang hundreds of songs, and visited countless cities. But only a few times did the emotion of the night make the country powerhouse let his guard down — and cry.

In fact, it was 2009 when Chesney, in front of a sold out crowd at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, was moved to tears while singing his hit, “Better as a Memory.” And for a brief moment, fans realized just what the stage has meant to him — and what it always will.

Recently, the eight-time “Entertainer of the Year” received his eighth Top Package Award from Billboard’s Touring Awards at the Roosevelt Hotel in New York City for his “Big Revival Tour.”

“We put a lot of thought into every year’s tour,” Chesney said of the honor in a recent press release. “It’s not just about bringing the music out to the No Shoes Nation, though obviously that’s what this relationship has been built on. It’s about how to create an experience every year that stands out, that’s worth remembering, that gives people a chance to love life, love music and have fun. This many years in, it’s still a thrill to be recognized for this part of what we do.”
