VIA| Recently on “The View,” Joy Behar called out republican presidential candidate hopeful Carly Fiorina for using the term “women’s suffrage.”
Fellow candidate Donald Trump recently mocked Fiorina, saying, “Look at that face! Would anyone vote for that? Can you imagine that, the face of our next president?!” Fiorina responded with her own ad, and the ladies of “The View” were less than impressed.
She has the nerve to use the term women’s suffrage when she’s against Planned Parenthood and women’s maternity leave. She’s against ObamaCare. She’s anti-choice. She uses the term women’s suffrage. She should be ashamed of herself. It’s not your face honey, it’s your policy.
Now, let’s not allow facts to get in the way of a good rant. First of all, Fiorina isn’t against Planned Parenthood, but she is against the government funding it. Second, As the CEO of Hewlett-Packard she offered paid maternity and paternity leave. Thirdly, she isn’t against healthcare reform, but she is against Obama forcing coverage on everyone.
Simply because somebody aligns themselves with a party other than your own, doesn’t qualify them as a bad person. Fiorina has a track record that proves she is a strong supporter of women’s issues.
By bashing Fiorina on these issues Joy only enforces the widely shared notion that nothing intelligent happens on “The View.” Being on the picture-box with a microphone doesn’t automatically make you bright, but don’t let that stop you, Joy.
Perhaps if those in the media did a little bit of reading from time to time instead of so much talking they might come off as credible.
