VIA| During his very first interview after winning Super Bowl 50, Peyton Manning made a few of his priorities clear, but none of those priorities stood out quite like this one:
“I’m gonna drink a lot of Budweiser tonight” was an oddly specific statement that prompted most people to immediately assume the beer company paid Manning to plug their product. Not so, says a rep for Anheuser Busch!
Hi Internet. For the record, Budweiser did not pay Peyton Manning to mention Budweiser tonight. We were surprised and delighted that he did.

There you have it: Peyton Manning was paid $0 to name drop Budweiser. Yes, you read that correctly. Zero. One small caveat, noted by Gawker, “Manning reportedly owns a stake in two Anheuser-Busch distributors.”
According to published news reports, Peyton Manning has some ownership stakes in Bud distributorships, which might explain tonite’s mentions
