ROMNEY WORDSWORTH - Donald Trump is resembling General George S. Patton on the political battlefield, launching offensive drives on all fronts this week. He is gaining ground, erasing Hillary’s post-convention lead and putting the race back to a statistical dead heat. But all the momentum is with Trump as Hillary continues to spend most of her time in hiding, fueling further speculation that she is in poor health and too frail (or just plain unpopular) to stay out on the campaign trail.
First up is a rare TV attack ad released by the usually parsimonious Trump Campaign, attacking Hillary on the deplorable state of the American economy. You never hear Hillary talk about the economy. The entire subject is like kryptonite to her. As well it should be with national GDP stuttering to an anemic 1% growth. Even that number is “cooked” and “massaged” by dishonest government accounting. The reality is that the private sector is contracting in real terms, i.e., we are back in recession. Clinton owns the economy, because she is running on the status quo, and even promises to double and triple down on Obama’s failed policies.
Latino Trump supporters launched a first in a series of rallies dubbed “Operation Taco Bowl”, a sarcastic reference to how the DNC referred to Hispanic voters in one of their leaked emails, courtesy of Wikileaks and Julian Assange.
In a show of strength of Trump’s minority support, both Hispanics and Blacks. Approximately 60 people were at the rally, so it was about the same size crowd as a typical Hillary Clinton rally. The Latinos for Trump Rally saw no counter-protests. Apparently George Soros was too busy with something else to write a check to pay the normal DNC goon squad.
“The Democrats think they can own and acquire Hispanics’ loyalty for generations to come,” Jorge Herrera, 31, said into a microphone at a podium in front of Anaheim City Hall, where dozens of Trump supporters had gathered for the rally. “Who do they think they are? They will never own my loyalty. They will never own Hispanics’ loyalty.”
“It’s just pandering,” Herrera went on to say. “They don’t care about us. We can see middle class income down, Hispanic wealth is down, African-American wealth is down. You look at the top Democrat cities, they’re all down. It’s all about talk, no action. The statistics prove they have done nothing for everybody.”
Ximena Barreto, 31, said she has always been a Republican “because Colombia is very Catholic, so its very conservative.” Asked how other Latinos respond to her being a Trump supporter, she said, “I think they are brainwashed by the media because they don’t do their own research. So they say, ‘Oh, you’re a racist to your own people.’”
She went on to say, “Both of my parents are Mexican immigrants. And it was Republicans and businessmen like Donald Trump who gave them jobs. Democrats did not help us. We need jobs, not handouts.”
The Anaheim police were not stood down, which also may have explained the lack of a counter protest. But you can be sure that if the Latinos for Trump movement grows, the DNC will order their street army to terrorize them, and maybe get the IRS to audit them.
Finally, Trump has made significant progress among Black voters. He is polling 14% Black support nationally, which is triple what John McCain (4%) and Mitt Romney (6%) got. In the key battleground state of Florida, Trump is polling 20% of the Black vote, an unheard of number since before the days of LBJ when the DemocRat party flipped from the party of the Klan and the Confederacy to being the anti-white party for minorities and illegal aliens.
The inroads have been so significant, that Hillary Clinton was lured out of her pillow lined cloister long enough to give a risible speech in Las Vegas accusing Trump of being the KKK candidate. Just one problem with that attack line, which is, as usual, the Truth. It was Hillary Clinton embracing and kissing Robert KKK Byrd in the 1990’s, calling him her friend and mentor. Byrd was the only member of the U.S. Senate in modern times who was also a Grand Kleagle of the Ku Klux Klan. The Klan was founded by Confederate General Nathan Bedford Forrest, and acted as the terror arm of the DemocRat Party for decades, keeping Blacks from voting and enforcing Jim Crow laws.
Hillary is a damned, lying, hypocrite who accuses others of what she herself has actually done.
