EDWARD PALTZIK - On November 12, a mob of 150 black students barged into the library at Dartmouth College to assault, harass and intimidate white students who were trying to study. Apparently dissatisfied with the privilege of an Ivy League education, the black students were “protesting” imaginary institutional racism on behalf of the “Black Lives Matter” (BLM) movement. As reported by the Dartmouth Review, a school newspaper, the BLM thugs shouted at white students: “Fuck you, you filthy white fucks! Fuck you and your comfort! Fuck you, you racist shit!” The shouts continued: “Stand the fuck up! You filthy racist white piece of shit! Meanwhile, the BLM thugs shoved white students and pinned a girl to a wall while screaming “filthy white bitch” in her face.
According to the FBI, a hate group’s “primary purpose is to promote animosity, hostility, and malice against persons belonging to a race, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or ethnicity/national origin which differs from that of the members of the organization.” The primary purpose of BLM’s library attack was to promote animosity, hostility and malice against white students. Racially motivated intimidation is not a legitimate method of protest. It’s a hate tactic.
So, Dartmouth has a hate group on its campus. However, BLM is welcome at Dartmouth because its hate activities are directed against whites. Inge-Lise Ammer, vice provost for student affairs, indicated that the school would continue to support BLM’s hate activities, even though her office received “a lot of terrible calls” complaining about the library attack: “We told them that they were all ridiculous and that the protest was a wonderful, beautiful thing.” She even apologized to the BLM thugs. “I’m very, very sorry that you feel this way. We don’t want you to have this experience here.”
Ironically, the school-sanctioned library attack shows that whites students are the ones in need of protection from institutional racism at Dartmouth. Their legitimate complaints about a criminal attack were ignored and the attackers empowered by the school. Imagine if the facts of the library raid were identical, except the attackers were white and the students minding their own business were black. The vice provost would not be celebrating a “wonderful, beautiful thing.” Instead, the white students would be expelled from Dartmouth and charged with hate crimes.
Dartmouth’s 2015-2016 tuition is $48,120. Parents of white Dartmouth students are unwittingly sponsoring Dartmouth’s campus of hate. It’s time for them to wake up and stop feeding this greedy beast.
