LIBERATING ELDER| It has finally begun, instead of covering up the lies and crimes of their predecessors, the Trump administration is planning on holding law breakers accountable. Trump’s team made this abundantly clear when the Commerce Department announced they are initiating an investigation into Obama and his administrations manipulation and deception concerning a study on climate change.
After a former scientist familiar with the study has raised questions about the validity of the research claiming that the study was rushed and published without verification due to pressure from the Obama administration. The Commerce department has responded by launching a 3rd party investigation into the matter.
Washington Examiner reports: “They will be holding a third-party investigation into the process related to this study,” said a senior GOP aide on the House Science, Space and Technology Committee, which has begun its own probe into what it describes as agency “misconduct” involving the scientific process.
The committee’s chairman, Republican Rep. Lamar Smith of Texas, said last month that the new “revelations raise additional questions as to whether the science at [Commerce’s National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration] is objective and free from political interference.”
[…] The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration briefly stated last month that it would be looking into statements made by one of its former employees, John Bates, who until last year was one of two officials in charge of vetting all NOAA data before publication. It said it “takes seriously any allegation that its internal processes have not been followed and will review the matter appropriately,” a spokesman said.
John Bates insists that the 2015 report, whose findings conflicted with earlier scientific studies concerning global warming had been published without his approval. He went so far as to say the data the report in question contained was “unverified.”
You have to love when the people who scream ‘it’s settled science’ all day are caught in lies and conflicts over their data and inability to consistently return the same results or draw the same conclusions. Clearly the science is not settled. Leave it to the government to use fake ‘science’ to grab more power. With all the developments in surveillance of candidate Trump, I have a feeling this investigation is going to be the least of Obama’s worries… H/T
